Graduation Process

General Guidelines

  • Target Audience: This workflow uses a full-time student aiming to graduate in 2 years as an example.
  • Executive Master's Programs: These students may use this as a reference, but should use specific forms provided by the Division of Continuing Education if applicable.
  • Data Entry: Students must first log into the system to enter data before administrative staff can proceed with processing.
  • Key Dates: This flow is for reference only; all specific deadlines follow the official school calendar or the latest regulations.

Timeline & Procedures

Stage 1: Early Semesters

  • Master's Year 1, Fall: Focus on coursework and research. Course selection must be completed via the Academic Affairs System according to regulated schedules.
  • Master's Year 1, Spring: Coursework, research, and finding a thesis advisor. Download the "Advisor Agreement Form" from the department website.
  • Master's Year 2, Fall: Coursework, research, and thesis writing. Download the "NTOU Thesis Formatting Guidelines" and abstract templates (Chinese/English) from the Registrar Division website.

  • Application: Enter data into the Graduate Degree System for:
    1. Degree Examination Application.
    2. List of Thesis Examination Committee Members.
  • Approval: After the school reviews committee qualifications, Appointment Letters will be issued.
  • Logistics: Once Appointment Letters are received, register the defense date and location.
    • Forms: Obtain grading sheets and related forms from the department office before the defense day.
    • Parking: Download guest parking voucher applications from the Campus Security Office; these are processed using the Committee Appointment Letters.
